September 2018 – What’s Happening in Puerto Rico?
September 2018, the summer holidays maybe over but there are still plenty of events to keep you busy. Highlights for September include the Rock en Vivo, Broadway Hits Concert and Oktoberfest @ Casa Bavaria.
As always there will be plenty of things to do around the island, especially on weekends so let’s see what’s happening this month.

Sep 15, Rock en Vivo @ Vivo Beach Club
Vivo Beach Club in Carolina want you to rock the night away at their latest concert series with music from Vince Neil, Stryper and FireHouse.

Sep 8, Broadway Hits Concert, San Juan
The Orquesta Camerata Filarmónica Puerto Rico will be performing Broadway Hits at 8pm at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce. Songs from The Greatest Showman, Phantom Of the Opera, Evita, Hamilton, West Side Story, Gypsy, The Little Mermaid, Chicago, Cabaret, Les Miserables, Hairspay y others will be performed.

Sep 20-23, Oktoberfest @ Casa Bavaria
Casa Bavaria’s annual Oktoberfest begins Sep 20-23 featuring live music, great Puerto Rican and German inspired food and of course ample supplies of beer. It may not be Munich but Casa Bavaria’s Oktoberfest is legendary here in Puerto Rico

Sep 7-9, 6th Ed Culinary U, San Juan
The Condado Vanderbilt in San Juan will be hosting the 6th Edition of the Culinary U. Participants can choose from a selection of cooking demonstrations, hands on cooking, tastings and more.

Sep 9, 1st Festival de Salsa, Mayaguez
The first ever Festival de Salsa will take place at the Concha Acoustica Frankie Ruiz, Placio de Recreaticion y Desportes in Mayaguez. The event will pay homage to Frankie Ruiz.
Sp 15-16, Comic Fest Aguada Con, Aguada
The Coliseo Ismael “Chavalillo” Delgado in Aguada will be hosting a ComicCon Festival , featuring all things ComicCon

Sept 22, Free Admission to Old San Juan Forts
September 22 is National Public Lands Day which means there is no entrance fee to visit San Cristobal Fort and El Mor Fort in Old San Juan
Sep 26-30, Orchid Festival, Mayagüez
The Mayaguez Mall will be hosting the La Sociedad de Orquidistas de Mayagüez Orchid Festival that will feature exhibits, workshops, orchid sales and more. The event is open during mall hours.
