July 2016 – What’s Happening in Puerto Rico?
Summer is in full swing here in Puerto Rico and so are the events happening in July. Highlights include aThe World Salsa Congress, San Sebastian’s Hammock Festival and the continuation of the Aibonito Flower Festival.
Until Jul 4, Aibonito Flower Festival
The largest and most popular flower and plant festival in Puerto Rico runs until July 4 and features flower & plant displays, sales, live entertainment, food kiosks and more. Weekends get extremely busy so plan to arrive early those days.

Jul 1-3, Hammock Festival, San Sebastian
Annual town festival that will take place at the Juan Jose ‘Titi’ Beniquez Ballpark Parking Area in San Sebastian. This family orientated event will feature over 200 local artisans displaying and selling their work along with live music, food kiosks and more.

Jul 2-3, Puerto Rico Star Con, San Juan
The Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan will hold a 2 day Star Con event focusing on Science Fiction. Similar to the recent Puert Rico Comic Con, Star Con will feature special guests and recognized personalities from the industry, Cosplay Challenge, Gaming Area, Cosplay Show, Laser Tag Tournament and more

Jul 3, Mojanolah de La X, Arecibo
Gasolina Beach Club in Arecibo will host the Mojanolah de La X Beach Party starting at 10am. Beach Fun, music will be the order of the day

Jul 15-17, National Handicrafts Fair, Barranquitas
The largest artisan fair in Puerto Rico will take place at the Plaza de Recreo (Town Plaza) in Barranquitas. This family event will feature artisans from all around Puerto Rico displaying and selling their works, live entertainment, local food kiosks and more.

Jul 24-30, Congreso Mundial de la Salsa, San Juan
The annual Congreso Mundial de la Salsa (World Salsa Congress) will take place from Jul 24 – 30 in San Juan. From Jul 24-27 the “World Salsa Open” will take place at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum and from July 28-30 there will be concerts, shows, and classes at the Hilton Condado Plaza.

Jul 29-31, Puerto Rico Ink Masters Tattoo Expo, San Juan
Tattoo fans should head to the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan for the Puerto Rico Ink Masters Tattoo Expo.
