April 2018 – What’s Happening in Puerto Rico?
This month, April 2018: There is always something exciting happening here in Puerto Rico and April is no exception.. Highlights include: Saborea Puerto Rico, the 11th Annual Rincon International Film Festival and the popular Reenactment of the Battle of 1797.
Apr 5-8, Saborea Puerto Rico
For 2018 Saborea Puerto Rico will held in the Municipality of Carolina @ Ventana al Mar – Balenario de Carolina. This year the event takes on a couple of new formats with Saborea Sunset and an Oceanside Brunch on the Saturday and Sunday with Bubbles & Bites kicking off the show on April 5.

Apr 11-15, 11th Annual Rincon International Film Festival
The Rincon International Film Festival returns for its 11th year. The 5 day event takes place at various locations in Rincon and you will be able to catch special themed nights as well as daytime screenings

Apr 27-29, Re-enactment of Battle of 1797, Old San Juan
This years event will see re-enactments take place at the Casa Blanca Museum, Cuartel de Ballajá, Parque Muñoz Rivera and various locations around Old San Juan. Hundreds of re-enactors will be in full period dress as Old San Juan steps back in time to 1797.

The Fine Arts Cafe in Mirarmar, San Juan will be showcasing several European films during this week long film festival.
Apr 17-18, MLB Puerto Rico Series, San Juan
Major League Baseball comes to Puerto Rico when the Minnesota Twins take on the Cleveland Indians at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, San Juan

Apr 29, Día Nacional de La Zalsa, San Juan
The Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan will once again host the annual Día Nacional de La Zalsa. This hugely popular musical event will feature a host of well know Salsa groups and singers.
